Back from the Brink…
I’m back. I was sick. Horribly, horribly sick. A stomach flu. The kind of sick that drains your body and soul and you become this sore husk of a human who flops around on the couch, unable to get comfortable, unable to rest fully because you are constantly running for the restroom. Unable to eat, unable to take pills in order to get better, unable to even drink liquids and keep them down. It took four days, but I’m finally on the mend. The fever is gone, now I’m just clammy, weak and out of sick-days at work. Blerg.
Here’s a few shots I took of the puggadoos a few weeks ago fighting over their second favorite toy, Mr. Bunny (yeah, yeah, I know, we name the toys so creatively, right?). Since these photos were shot, Mr. Bunny has unfortunatly been mauled to a grizzly death. I found Rukia perched over Mr. Bunny’s lifeless, slobbery carcass, fluffy bits of white stuffing all over her black muzzle. My sweet Poley bear was asleep when I found her in this incriminating position. I keep telling people that Rukia has fallen to the darkside.
Here they are, playing around. I used to toss Mr. Bunny for them to catch. Mostly Napoleon would fetch it and she would run around and try to take it away from him. He usually evades her or ignores her and brings the bunny back to me. This time she was either particularly persistant or unusually annoying.
Here is Poley trying to bring the bunny back, and Ruki trying to take it away from him.
More of their tug of war battle.
Aww…they’re so cute with their wreastling. Poley is much stronger than her, but she fights dirty.
This picture cracks me up, becasue after all their fighting over the bunny, he gives up and just comes up to me, and tries to jump up for some kisses, leaving Rukia in the background the spoils of war.
I loooooove the look of Poley’s crazy eyes here. And Rukia in the background is like, what’s going on here? Honestly, she only wants Mr. Bunny when Poley wants it. Once he gives up, she gives up.
Welcome back!!!
I’m the same way with Big Brother. Only when you wants it, does I wants it.
Hmm… Buttfaced monkeybutt. gotta try that one some time.

Good to hear you’re on the mend. :)Those nasty stomach bugs make you feel really helpless and isolated after awhile.

Napolean totally looks like a frog in that last picture!
My mom had that bug and it was no fun for her. It was TONS of fun for me ’cause she was home and laying down for days!

Oh no!! I hope you get better quickly! I am currently on the ‘how many ways can i hurt myself? trend’. So far I am missing several chunks of my hand.. sigh..
In our house, it’s hard to tell who will win, Gus likes to get squeaky toys and lay there and squeak while Indy flips out and climbs on him while biting. Sometimes she wins cause he gets bored or she lays right down and he can’t fling her around. They are crazy crazy babies!
Gus likes to bring me his spoils of war or to get consolation kisses too!

Okay, that last pic of Poley freaks me out. It reminds of of Dune. See: http://www.usul.net/fandom/marco/worm.jpg
I’m glad that you’re feeling better. I was getting kinda worried when you weren’t showing up. Take care.

Glad to hear you are on the mend and off the couch!
I guess your pugs were pretty destructive while you were under the weather, eh? Evil Rukia . . . it’s always the innocent-looking ones.

So sorry to hear you were sick. Hopefully you’ll be 100% again real quick. I was sick today but it was self-induced… Red, red wine…

I was all ready to make a comment about the last stomach bug I had, but then I got to that last picture and just about fell out of my chair giggling, so I’ll just leave the somach bug thing on the shelf.

So the song that was driving me nuts… Like a Stone by Audioslave… I guess it helps if I have the lyrics right!!
Thanks for you suggestions though, I will be downloading them too for my itunes!

These pics make me want to have a second pug. Maybe sometime in the future.
Sorry to hear you were sick. Mine was a simple cold. I had what you had about 6 months ago. I wanted to die.

Glad you are feeling better! The plague seems to be in the “back to school” crowd- those all around me have had it. I bet Terry is the carrier! We try to get 2 toys just the same- but it doesn’t matter. Bitsey only wants the one Eli has. He is willing to move to the lesser toy, then she takes that one , too!
