Introducing…Rukia!

Well, we did it. We had been tossing around the idea since we got Napoleon and after lots of discussions, lists of various pros/cons, we got ourselves another Pug. This time we got an all-black (except for a white spot on her chest) female puggy. Her name is Rukia, and she’s absolutly adorable!

I’m so cute!

Here I am holding my two babies:

Dual Puggies

You might be wondering how Napoleon reacted to this new interloper into his life. Well, it’s hard to say. On one hand he seems happy to have someone to play with, but she’s a lot smaller than him (half the size) and he wants to play too rough with her (not maliciously, but still) so we’re having to keep them seperated for the time being until she can defend herself. At first they sniffed each other:

Kissy Face

Then more sniffing and licking:

Kiss and make up

Then he got rather antsy about being held this way:

Poley = Spaz

Here is what it looked like when they played together…he isn’t biting her, he’s just kinda playing with her, nipping at her playfully. Of course she didn’t appreciate it since she was trying to sleep at the time. Boys!

I shall eat YOUR brain…!

Then here are three pictures of Poley & Rukia playing. They go in a time-line order. Here is picture #1. Poley is ignoring her.

I’m cuter than her…

Well, he was ignoring her. UNTIL she had the audacity to play with his favorite toy, the squirrl, Zoyd. So he pounced on her, nipped at her and then took Zoyd away from her.

Threesome

Then here’s an action shot of me chastising Napoleon for being too agressive with her. Of course, he’s all bark and no bite. The minute she stood up for herself and put her little paw on his face and pushed him away, Poley yelped and sat sulking in the corner. Woot for her!

Behave!

And the last picture is Terry being attacked by Puggies.

It’s impossible tocontain this much cuteness!

  16. Awesome! So wonderful to have two pugs! I want a sibling now!

  17. My two are both female, so that may be one reason, but truthfully, they love each other, sleep on each other, and want to be with each other. My other two (before these 2) used to get into terrible fights, drawing blood and savaging ears, but were snuggling up to each other ten minutes (maybe 15) later. They will learn to get along and be good with each other. Lucky and Roxy are 8 months apart. Most people ahve 2 pugs, so it must work out, they are companion dogs and want the company.
