Movers, Interviews and the Pope

Alli & Terry wait for the moversThings out here in Alabama are great. On Sunday, the movers arrived with my stuff from California. That was a hectic morning. They were late and then the semi-truck that my stuff came in wouldn’t fit through the storage unit in the driveway. The movers had to rent a U-Haul and shuttle everything into it, and then to my storage unit. The whole business took about 4 hours. Very stressful. But at least it’s all done and over with.

Since then, I’ve gone on two more job interviews. One of them for an Office Manager / Secretarial position for a clinical psychologist’s office. The other interview was for an Account Manager position at an Insurance broker’s office. Both positions aren’t located but 10-15 minutes from home. I would take either. I’ll let you guys know what happens…

Across from my storage unit, we saw this billboard for Pope’s Haunted FarmPope = Scary Clown? and their haunted hayride. It cracked us up. Did you know that the Pope is also a clown? See, our little blog not only amuses – but it informs!

Terry’s Mom is doing a lot better. She is off the ventilator in 5-7 hour stretches at a time, which is good news. They still can’t give us an estimate of when she’ll be able to go home, because it depends on how well she improves and how fast she heals up from the surgery. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts during this time. We appreciate it!
