Well, I’m still waiting to hear back on the biopsy, but I just wanted to drop a note and tell everyone how their thoughts and prayers have made me feel very loved.
No, haven’t heard about the biopsy yet - not supposed to hear until 5-6pm today.
I thought I’d post a few cute pictures of the puggies meanwhile.
Terry captured them while they were alseep yesterday. I love the disgruntled look Poley is giving the camera.
And it cracks me up that you can totally see how much Ruki uses Napoleon as her personal pillow. Isn’t she adorable?
Also, here’s one of my most recent layouts I scrapped. I’ll let everyone know as soon as I do about the biopsy.
Edit: Heard back from the doctor. They didn’t receive the results from my biopsy from the lab yet. Nurse advises me that I should hear back tomorrow night at this time. Ugh! The suspense is killing me!
Picture this. Hot Saturday afternoon, driving home from the vet’s office. We had taken Ruki in for her latest set of shots and to get her heartworm pills. She got a perfect bill of health and was announced to be in perfect health with a glossy black coat and a sunny disposition. The vet just fell in love with her. She is adorable and only 9 lbs at six months old. She probally won’t get too much bigger.
Well, we were driving home from this appointment, and little Ruki was sitting in Terry’s lap as my car currently doesn’t have air conditioning and we thought it would be cooler for her up in the front seat than in the back of my Honda Element in her crate.
Aparently they do this thing out here in Alabama where they randomly block off roads and check to make sure everyone has a current license/registration/insurance. And my insurance card is currently expired. (Long story, I won’t go into it. I have insurance, I just haven’t put the new card in my glove box). Well I could tell the cop was getting ready to write us up for a ticket when he caught sight of Rukia sitting in Terry’s lap.
He was instantly charmed, reached over to scratch her and then told us to just to remember to put the current one in the car, and let us go with a verbal warning. Hooray!
So we didn’t flirt our way out of a ticket…we pugged our way out of a ticket. Thusly, I have dubbed her my good luck charm.
Guess what happened on Saturday? It snowed! Can you believe that? I mean, I live in Alabama! Aparently, from talking to the locals, this is the first time in like 20 years that it’s snowed like this. We got 4 inches! Isn’t that crazy!? Check out this video that Terry shot earlier today:
Isn’t that amazing? I’m from California…it just doesn’t snow in Los Angeles so this is completely forgien to me. But I loved it! Here are some pictures we took while we frolicked outside with Poley. This first picture is of me (Alabama Snow Bunny) ouside in the snow:
This picture is of Terry (Alabama Snow Jackrabbit) ouside in the snow. I have no idea why he posed looking so smug. Men!
Here is my car, a Honda Element, look at it! It’s covered in snow!
Then we put Poley onto the roof of car to see what he thought of the snow. He was not amused.
Here is Terry holding Napoloeon:
And a close up of Poley. So cute! Look at him, he’s lost alot of hist darker baby-fur and is lightening up. My baby is growing up!
OH! And I have to thank all of you for your ideas regarding Napoleon’s food dish. Armed with all of your ideas, we marched to Petco and spent quite a while going over the food isle. From what everyone said, I was pretty sure that the reason Poley wasn’t eating his food was because he didn’t like it. Pugs, and well, dogs in general, don’t just toss the food on the ground and ignore it completely if they liked it. I was somewhat discouraged by this because on paper, the Natural Balance food was the best. It was made of the best ingredients, had three kinds of protien, no filler, veggies, fiber, etc. But what good is all that if he won’t eat it? So after reading all the lables on about 6 different foods, we settled on the Iams puppy food for toy breeds.
We also bought a new bowl for him since it was suggested that possibly his ceramic bowl wasn’t easy for him to eat out of. We bought one of those stainless steel bowls that is a metal rack and has two bowls (food & water) suspended from it. And guess what? Not only is he eating every bite of his food, but he’s not spilling his water all over the place and certainly isn’t dumping his food onto the floor and ignoring it. Hooray! Thanks everyone! Oh, and Napoleon thanks you, too!
